Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope
This Policy applies to tickets purchased through the website of JournaliFe News (“we”, “us”, “our”) for events organised, promoted or managed by us. By purchasing a ticket, you (“you”, “ticket-holder”) accept the terms of this Policy.

2. Ticket Sale & Non-Refundability

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of ticket purchase, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
We recommend you review your purchase carefully because, once purchased, your ticket cannot normally be cancelled, exchanged or refunded.
Certain discounted or promotional tickets may carry additional terms (for example, “no refund” or “non-transferable”). Such conditions will be clearly indicated at time of purchase and apply in addition to this Policy.

3. When Refunds May Be Available
You may be eligible for a refund (or an alternative option) only in the following cases:
a) The event is cancelled by us (for any reason other than your personal decision) → Full ticket price will be refunded.
b) The event is postponed or rescheduled to a materially different date or venue and you are unable to attend the rescheduled event → We may offer you either (i) a refund of the ticket price, or (ii) a credit/ticket for the rescheduled event.
c) Other valid exceptional circumstances specified at time of ticket purchase (e.g., medical emergencies) may be considered at our discretion.

4. Refund Exclusions & Deductions

If the event goes ahead as scheduled, refunds for change of mind, personal schedule conflicts, “no-shows”, or travel/accommodation issues are  not available , unless otherwise indicated.
Any convenience fees, booking-charges, payment-gateway fees or third-party charges are  non-refundable , unless explicitly stated.
Refunds will typically be processed to the same payment method used for purchase.

5. How to Request a Refund 

If eligible (see clause 3), you must submit a refund request by emailing: journalifenews@gmail.com with your subscription or ticket details:
  • Full name used for purchase
  • Order or booking reference number
  • Date of purchase
  • Event name and date
  • Reason for refund request (with supporting documents if applicable)
  We will acknowledge your request and inform you whether it is approved or not within 5 business days.

 6. Refund Processing Time 

  Once approved, refunds will be initiated within 7-14 business days. Actual credit to your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
  We will not be liable for delays attributable to banks or payment gateways.

 7. Event Cancellation or Postponement by Us 

  If we cancel the event: you will be notified via the email address provided at purchase, and your options will be outlined.
  If the event is postponed to a new date: your original ticket will remain valid for the new date unless you request a refund in accordance with clause 3(b).
  We shall not be responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by you.

 8. Governing Law & Disputes 

  This Policy and your ticket purchase are governed by the laws of India.
  Any dispute arising out of this Policy or your ticket purchase will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kannur, Kerala.

 9. Changes to This Policy 

  We may update this Policy at any time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect such changes.
  Your continued holding of tickets or event attendance after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
